LIAC PLACES SECOND OVERALL AT JUNIOR NATIONALS - LIAC MEN ALSO SECOND AT JUNIORS - CONGRATULATIONS - JACK, OlIVER, NICK C., NICK S., JON AND EMILY ON A FANTASTIC WEEK!!

CONGRATULATIONS - EMILY KELLY - 3rd place at USA Junior National Championships with a 8:40.88 -800free- LIAC had a perfect first day at the championships - Nick Cerra swam a personal best in the 200 fly and Jon Derlath dropped 15 seconds to break the 16 min mark in the 1500 free.

DAY 2 at Juniors another perfect day - 5 swims 5 best times - 2 final swims - 1 consolation swim and a NEW METROPOLITAN RECORD; Congratulations Jack Wagner for breaking the 200 back record with a 2:02.18. The 29 year old record was held by Rick Carey, 3 time Olympic Gold Medallist from the Badger Swim Club. Jack also finaled in the 100 free with his best time. Emily swam to her personal best in the 100 free getting her a second swim, Great Job!! Nick Spinella's 200 back and Oliver Lee's 100 free were also personal best, KEEP IT COMING!!!

They have kept the ball rolling in Seattle on day 3 - 4 swims and 4 more best times!! Emily's 4:14.5 400 free has her seated 3rd in tonights finals - Good Luck!!! Jon Derlath's 4:04.08 400 free was a 3 second drop - NICE!! Oliver Lee and Nick Cerra both swam personal bests in the 100 fly.

Derlath, Spinnela, Cerra and Wagner set 800 free relay record with a 7:41.49 and a 13th place finish at Juniors - WAY TO GO MEN!!! So perfecrt just might be overrated! Although, It was great while it lastest! Emily swam to a personal best and an 11th place finish in the 200 free tonight with a 2:02.38 KEEP IT UP GIRL!! Jack's 1:50.33 in the 200 free reset his record book with LIAC and got him a 4th place finish - The Men's 100 back just finished and once again Congratulations JACK with a personal best, new team record and a SECOND place finish at JUNIORS with a 56.87!!

Emily Kelly swam to another personal best in the 1500 free by more than 6 seconds. Great Job on a Fantastic Meet. Jack took home the bronze in the 200 IM and was 10th in the 50 free - NICE MEET JACK!! - Oliver also took home a bronze in the 50 free.

The Zone Championships began today and LIAC saw a lot of nice swims. Congratulations Tyler Meyers with a 5 place finish in the 100 free with a 1:08.63 - best time by more than a second and a 4th place finish in the 100 fly with a 1:17.7 - best time by 2 seconds.

Day 2 of Zones and Tyler Meyers puts his name on the LIAC record board with a 32.84 50 fly and a GOLD medal from Zones!! SUPER STAR!! Tyler also finished 4 in the 100 Back with a 1:18:94 KEEP IT GOING TYLER!!! Molly Treble came in 4th with a personal best in the 200 free, Austin Kowalski also came in 4th in the 200 free, Zoe Gregorace had a personal best this morning and a 7th place finish tonight in the 200 breast!! Great job!!

Day 3 - Tyler Meyers adds his name to another great event on the LIAC record board, the 400 free. Only swimming the event twice prior to the zone entry Tyler decided he wanted to shoot for the record and a medal in this event. Great decision and fantastic swim- 5:14.11. Austin Kowalski swam to a second place finish in the 100 fly with a 1:00.83 - NICELY DONE!! Molly Treble took the chance to be great and swam to a personal best and a second place finish in the 400 free with a 4:37.2 - WAY TO GO!! Zoe Gregorace had a little help with luck from a DQ on the field that got her a swim in finals. She took advantage, swam faster and moved from 8th to 6th in the 100 breast - ALWAYS TAKE THE CHANCE!! LIAC had a great day today with all of the other swims - GREAT JOB!!!

LIAC CONTINUES TO SWIM TO SUCCESS; CONGRATULATIONS on an AWESOME TEAM effort winning Senior Mets and Junior Olympics this summer. At JO's the 13&Unders won the combined Team score over Badger by 1084 points. The 11&12 girls won their title over the Boys and Girls Club by 447 points. The 11&12 boys were second to LaGuardia by 12.5 points, they won the combined title over BGNW by 539 points. The 13&14's won the combined title over Asphalt Green in a tight race of only 27 points. SUPER JOB by Tyler Meyers, Zoe Gregorace who each took home the Individual high point award in their age group. Ali Aly was second for the 10&U boys, Jessica Arana was third for the 11&12 girls and Trudi Patrick was third for the 13&14 girls. 3 - 11&12 girls LIAC relay records were broken; 200 Medley (Jasmine Nakkab, Zoe Gregorace, Paige Kaplan, Molly Treble), 400 Medley (Jessica Arana, Zoe Gregorace, Paige Kaplan, Molly Treble), and the 400 Free (Jesscia Arana, Cathy Tan, Zoe Gregorace, Molly Treble), the relay of Cara Treble, Kerry Giovaniello, Jasmine Nakkab and Paige Kaplan took second also swimming under the previous LIAC record - FANTASTIC JOB!!! 7 Team records were broken between the two meets; Congratulations, Molly Treble (800 and 1500 free), Cathy Tan (200 back), and Zoe Gregorace (50 and 100 Breast, 200 fly and 400 IM). 22 NEW ZONE CUTS were made at JO's. 30 LIAC athletes will represent Metro at the Zone Championships this week at Penn State. With only a few meets left to swim and be put into the SWIMS database LIAC has 4 12&U athletes ranked in the top 15 in the NATION - Dylan VanManen - 15th in the 11 year old 1500, Jessica Arana - 5th in the 11 year old 200 fly and 7th in the 11 year old 1500, Cathy Tan - 11th in the 10 year old 100 back and 9th in the 11 year old 200 back and Molly Treble 6th in the 12 year old 1500, 5th in the 12 year old 800 and 12th in the 12 year old 400. SUMMERTIME CLASSIC -

204 LIAC Swimmers swam their way to a fantastic weekend!! 5 new 12&U team records were broken; Congratulations, Molly Treble (800, 1500 free and 200 back), and Zoe Gregorace (200 breast and 400 IM)- Congratulations to Molly Treble, 12years old, and Jessica Arena, 11years old, both swam the #1 time in the Nation for the 1500 free for their age. Delany Hall swam himself to a seat on the Zone Bus, WAY TO GO!! Dina Sutherland had an outstanding swim in the 100 breaststroke. The Gold medal swim gave her a seat on the Zone Bus, SUPER!!

Memorial Day Invitational

Hats off to a great start of the Long Course season. The performances this past weekend are complimentary to all of your determination and hard work during the past few months. You have all shown that when faced with adversity you know how to stay at it and make it work.

MaryAnn Lennon was a superstar with her 3rd place overall finish for the 10&U girls. MaryAnn broke the Meet record and the longest standing LIAC team record with her spectacular swim in the 100 fly. Congratulations.

The 11-12 girls won their age group. With the outstanding team record breaking swims by Zoe in the 50 and 100 breast, her winning 200 IM and her solid 200 and 400 free events Zoe was the top 11-12 girl in the meet. Jessica Arana was 3rd in the age group, Molly Treble was 4th and Cathy Tan was 5th. The 11-12 girls swept the top 5 places in the 200 Free.

The junior program swam 14 individuals to the summer zone cuts in 37 events. Special congratulations to Kim Chan from the Blue team for making the 100 fly cut, Ali Aly and Stephanie Kaplan from the Junior A team for making the 100 and 200 free and the 50 and 100 breast cuts. These are their first cuts ever!!

WAY TO GO LIAC 10&U Girls - WINNERS of the JUNIOR OLYMPIC CHAMPIONSHIP- The girls shattered the 3 LIAC Relay records bringing home the gold in each relay, they also brought home 1 gold medal (Cathy Tan - 100 fr 1:00.92), 2 silver medals (Cathy Tan 50 fr 28.57 and Cara Treble - 500 fr 5:59.30) and 1 bronze medal (MaryAnn Lennon - 100 fly 1:08.99) - CONGRATULATIONS Cathy Tan, Cara Treble, Maryann Lennon, Giorgia Piantanida, Alyssa Blum, Stephanie Kaplan, Lauren McNally, Finola Heaney, Allegra Sodi, Julia Pusateri, Amanda Agostino, Catherine Killgallen, Kim Chan and Madaline Kang!!

LIAC 11&12 Girls and Boys finished 2nd! Zoe Gregorace led the group with her Gold medal finish and record breaking swim in the 400 IM with a time of 4:49.91. Her time of 5:29.19 earned her the Gold in the 500 free. She rounded out her great weekend with a silver medal in the 200 free with a time of 2:04.25. Jessica Arana finished 4th overall in the 11-12 age group and was the top 11 year old at the meet. Her silver medal finishes in the 200 IM and 500 free led the way to her great weekend. The relay of Molly Treble, Zoe Gregorace, Julia Hall and Jessica Arana took home the Gold in the 400 Medley relay. Nick Mu was the high scoring LIAC male swimming many best times and taking home the bronze in the 400 IM with a 4:54. Congratulations Zoe, Jessica, Molly, Julia, Paige Kaplan, Jasmine Nakkab, Kerry Giovaniello, Alex Dolido, Isabel Ren, Nick Mu, Eric Wang, Delany Hall, Jeff McNeary and Dylan VanManen.
