About this group

The Junior A Team consists of those swimmers between ages 9 - 12, who have achieved 500 point value for swims within USA Swimmings evaluation system. These swimmers will be proficient in stroke technique as evaluated by the coaching staff. They will also demonstrate complete workouts with their peers. Due to the intensity of the workouts, Junior A swimmers, ages 11 & Under, are encouraged to attend practice 4 times a week and those 12 years old should attend 5 to 6 times a week (Saturday’s being mandatory for all).

Junior A group started the new swim season with a new team member, Samantha Truter. Welcome to LIAC!!!! We also have a lot of swimmers moved up from Blue group: Vincent Agostino, Julian Buchen, Lauren Darling, Michaela DePhillips, Patricia Duong, Samantha Gallego, Sophia Gregorace, Lauryn Johnson, Daniel McNeary, Olivia Plansker, Adena Posen, Luca Sodi, David Villani and Morgan Yi. Welcome on the Junior A boat!!! The few months of hard work together and good attendance brought us a lot of excitement and great results swimming at Chappy’s Big Race! Vincent, Julian, Adrian, Danielle, Patricia, Ian, Jessica, Lauryn, Claire, Daniel, Joanna, Bridget, Olivia, Camellia and Morgan had perfect meets. All best times! Awesome job!!! Sophia became the Swimmer of the Meet dropping 51 seconds from last short course season! The Swimmer of the Meet for the boys was Adrian improving last seasons times by 29 seconds. Keep it up !!! Congratulations to Sophia and Max taking advantage of getting their spots on the plane to Florida!!! We have left 162 days until the Nike Showcase Classic meet in Clearwater, Florida. We see each day…as another day to get better and faster!!!
Congratulations to all of the swimmers who competed this weekend at the Spring Kickoff. We are so proud of your hard work and it really paid off in your races this weekend. Keep it up!
The Junior A Group welcomes all of the swimmers who recently moved up from other groups in our program. We look forward to having you practice with us in the Junior A Team!

relay record holders

Congratulations Timmy Marski, Connor Towers, Zach Leng and Michael Gregorace for breaking the LIAC and Metropolitan Record in the 10&U boys 400 Free LC Relay with a 4:45. Their effort was tremendous. The boys were so excited that it took them 3 times to do the relay legally - but they learned integrity is a major key to success!! GREAT JOB BOYS WE LOVED CHEERING YOU ON!!
