White Group Finishes the Fall with a Bang!
Congratulations to all the participants in the New York Sharks Holiday Classic meet. This meet turned out to be a great one for the White Team. It was the most technically sound swimming we have seen out of the White Group all season. Everyone on the team had at least one swim where they went a best time. Delaney Eichorn was the swimmer of the meet for the White team. She swam in 6 events and did her fastest time in all of those events, a perfect 6 for 6. Another notable swimmer was Timothy Yeung. He swam in 6 events and dropped time in 5 of those 6 events. Congratulations to Delaney, Tim, and the rest of the White team for a great meet, everyone has been working very hard and it is starting to show itself in our performances. I hope everyone continues to work hard and gets ready for our next meet in January. |
Buttery Biscuits Take the Win at Thanksgiving Throwdown!
Congratulations to everyone who swam in the Thanksgiving Meet. Our meet was extremely busy but our swimmers were able to stay focused, channel their energy into their swims and have a great meet. The White Team had 32 separate swims resulting in either a Silver or Junior Olympic trial time.
Special Congratulations to Swimmer of the Meet Nicholas Sodi. He swam incredible dropping 30 seconds over 6 events! Keep up the hard work.
Our meet within the meet was a great motivating factor for our team to swim fast. We had three teams The Sticky Yams, The Buttery Biscuits, and the Stuffed Turkeys. Each team received a point for a swim with a best time. At the end of the weekend The Buttery Biscuits came out on top, congratulations to all the swimmers on the swimmers on the Biscuits. I hope everyone had a great holiday weekend, with their family and friends. |
White Swimmers Victorious at Viking
The White Team went on their away meet of the season and did a great job. Many of the White Team members traveled up to Montgomery, New York to participate in the Viking Classic, hosted by the Viking Aquatic Club. Our swimmers and families did a great job making it through the horrible traffic of the George Washington Bridge on Friday, and the experience of their first meet away from Eisenhower. Over all the team did a great job competing throughout the three days with everyone swimming at least one best time over the weekend. Every meet we are making strides forward and we are looking forward to getting ready for the next away meet on our schedule in Felix Festa, for the New York Sharks Holliday Classic. |
Congratulations to everyone who participated in Chappy’s Big Race Invitational this weekend!
Everyone who swam did at least one best time during the meet, if not all best times. We had 27 swims resulting in a Silver Championships qualifying time by 11 different swimmers. Those swimmers were Alana Brown, Victoria Carroll, Carolyn DeFranco, Kayla Deosaran, Delaney Eichorn, Zoe Heath, Amanda Huang, Caitlin Knight, Anthony Melchore, Emilia Sinconegui, and Moca Tanaka. We also had Anthony Melchore qualify for the Junior Olympic Championships in the 50 freestyle. Congratulations to those swimmers, I am looking forward to adding many more swimmers to our list of Silver and Junior Olympic Qualifiers.
While we all swam extremely well there is still a lot to be worked on for our next meet, but I think this weekend was a great start and I am looking forward to getting back in the pool this week to get ready for Viking.
