Age Group 4

What A Season!

Although White Team had an abrupt end to it’s season, it was probably the most successful season it’s athletes have ever had! The group sent more athletes to competitions away from the Aquatic Center than ever before. The group had 13 athletes compete in Buffalo (up from 1 the year before) and a number of finals swims from Johnny Macko, Warren Peng and Steven Radoslovich.

The January and February months saw more athletes from White Team make Silvers than ever before. 31 athletes competed at the Silvers meet at the end of February, almost more than the previous two years combined! With 123 Silvers swims, the athletes more than doubled the group’s total from the previous year. A number of athletes swam full slates of events at the meet including:

Full Silvers Slate:
Frankie Albergo, Caiden Chang, Alex Kirin, Nick Kurachenkov, Sydney Lei, Isaac Li, Hunter Nacewicz, Steven Radoslovich, Anna Wang

Then came our JO athletes! Even though they didn’t get to compete, the group had the most athletes it’s ever had qualify for JO’s. With 6 White Team athletes set to compete, it would have more than doubled the previous two years combined.

White Team JO Athletes:
Frankie Albergo: 50 Breast, 100 Breast, 200 Medley Relay, 200 Free Relay, 400 Free Relay
Steven Radoslovich: 100 Fly, 200 Medley Relay, 200 Free Relay, 400 Free Relay
Hunter Nacewicz: 50 Breast
Warren Peng: 100 Fly
Rachel Maurer: 200 Medley Relay, 200 Free Relay, 400 Free Relay
Juliana Otoya: 200 Free Relay

Our short course season was cut short, but it does not take away what the group has accomplished this year. This was the most successful season the group has ever had and every athlete should be proud of what they accomplished!
