Safe Sport

USA Swimming Safe Sport

At the Long Island Aquatic Club we strive to make your swimmer's protection and safety our highest priority. By working together as coaches, swimmers, parents, and volunteers we can ensure all USA swimming members are supported in a safe and dependable environment both in and out of the pool. 

If you have any Safe Sport Concerns, use the following resources:
1. USA Swimming 719-866-4578 Deal with a Safe Sport Concern
2. U.S. Center for Safe Sport to make a report. Use the online reporting form, call 833-5US-SAFE (587-7233), or find more information at www.uscenterforsafesport.org

Safe Sport Training

 Help equip yourself and you swimmer by taking USA Swimming's online Athlete Protection Training. By educating everyone on safe sport practices we help protect all our swimmers and their commitment to their sport. 
Please take the following training courses by clicking on the corresponding link. Add Safe Sport for Parent/Athlete to your cart. Proceed to check out. Enter billing information even though the course is FREE. Once check out is complete the course will be in your dashboard.

ATHLETES: USA Swimming Safe Sport Training For Athletes
  • Login with Last name, First name, and date of birth
  • Include in the LSC box: Metropolitan Swimming and Swim Club: Long Island Aquatic Club

PARENTS: USA Swimming Safe Sport Training For Parents
  • Register as new member (if not already registered)

Minor Athlete Abuse Protection Plan

As a part of our continued commitment to safeguarding our athletes, USA Swimming has enacted enhancements to our Safe Sport policy and education requirements.

The U.S. Center for SafeSport (“the Center”), the separate, independent, organization that oversees all sexual misconduct reports in the Olympic and Paralympic Movement created the Minor Athlete Abuse Prevention Policies to set a baseline for acceptable safety standards that limit one-on-one interactions between adults and minor athletes.

As a condition of membership, all athlete members ages 18 and over must complete Athlete Protection Training. 
All non-athlete members of USA Swimming and all adult athletes (age 18+) are required to complete the Athlete Protection Training by clicking the link below:
