LIAC’s Coach Ginny Nussbaum has been selected by the American Swim Coaches Association as one of the 10 finalists for Age Group Coach of the Year. ASCA will be presenting awards to all of the top 10 coaches and announcing the Age Group Coach of the Year at the Cleveland ASCA World Clinic Awards Banquet being held Thursday, September 10th.
Over the past eight years Ginny has completely redesigned the Age Group (14 & under) Program for LIAC. The program which places young swimmers in groups that match their competitive level, level of interest and age has been a corner stone of LIAC’s success. Whether the swimmer is in their first year and can only swim one day a week or a nationally ranked swimmer, there’s a group at LIAC that will provide outstanding coaching and a process that is proven in developing national caliber athletes. As much as this is an individual award, Ginny spoke about the LIAC age group staff: “Today the American Swim Coaches Association recognized the LIAC age group program. We are succeeding in developing a seamless step by step program that can take the young swimmer from beginner to Olympian. This award is about the whole age group coaching staff.” CONGRATULATIONS GINNY AND THE ENTIRE AGE GROUP STAFF Comments are closed.
